DC/DC converters with an output range of 0.75 to 7.5 W designed as a step-down switching DC-DC converters for direct PCB mounting. These devices come housed in SIP/SIL3 housing and have a single output configuration that does not require heat sinks due to their non-isolated nature. The efficiency of these converters can reach up to 94% (RIM78_) or 97% (RIM78M_), while providing continuous short circuit protection. The pin-out compatibility with LM78_ makes it easy for users who are familiar with this product line to switch over without any issues, thanks also in part because they use full SMD technology throughout production. Typical voltage accuracy ranges from ±2% on models like RIM78M_0.5 and RIM78_1.0 down to ±3% on others such as the RIM78_0.5 model.
