Uninterruptible power supplies in a DIN rail housing (UPSIC-_D) or an open-frame type (UPSIC_) with a built-in energy storage in the form of maintenance-free supercaps, a power fail signal through a relay contact and a COM interface (RS232/I2C) as well as an LED indicator for the charging status of the capacitors. These devices are suitable for a 24/7 continuous operation, have a fanless design, a regulated voltage during backup operation and an integrated reboot function (UPSIC-_D). They are protected against voltage reversal and overcurrent and have an intelligent distribution of the charging currents.
